Are You Experiencing Frozen or Leaking Pipes?
If
your pipes are frozen or you are experiencing leaks, here is some helpful
information.
- If you are not able to run water in your
home, it is likely due to your home’s pipes being frozen. If this happens,
pipes can expand and leak when they thaw. To lessen possible damage, you
can turn off the water to your home (see diagram below).

- If you believe it’s a broken
district service lines, please contact Crossroads Utility Services at customerservice@crossroadsus.com or 512-246-1400, and
staff can answer basic questions. You may also find additional helpful
information on the Crossroads website by clicking here.
- If you are a Block House MUD resident and have questions related to your electrical
power, please contact your provider, the Pedernales Electric
Cooperative (PEC), at 888-883-3379.
The next few days will be a challenge. Crossroads will do their best to help
triage emergencies for customers. The Crossroads Operations team has been
working around the clock to try and help customers. We are also building a post
storm team to help work this weekend to help customers shut meters off, isolate
leaks, etc.
Please
remember that pipes on private property are the responsibility of the property
owner; and residents are encouraged to call a plumber if you’re concerned an
issue is more than you can handle.
