Stage 2 Water Restrictions in Effect

Date posted: 7/25/2019

For many of us, the unusually wet spring washed away the memories of the severe drought conditions that we have endured in recent years. Now that we are back in the more familiar hot-and-dry summer weather pattern, the Block House MUD Board of Directors reminds us that Stage Two Twice Per Week Mandatory Outdoor Watering Restrictions remain in effect for all of Block House Creek.

What does this mean?

Under Stage Two restrictions, outdoor irrigation with sprinklers is allowed twice per week, before 10 a.m. and after 7 p.m., on your designated watering days:

  • Residential customers with address ending in an odd number: Wednesdays and Saturdays, before 10 a.m. and after 7 p.m.
  • Residential customers with address ending in an even number: Thursdays and Sundays, before 10 a.m. and after 7 p.m.
  • Commercial customers: Tuesdays and Fridays, before 10 a.m. and after 7 p.m.
  • Because the District's common areas and right-of-ways cannot be watered with an average of 3/4 of an inch in a single day and must be divided into sections and watered over different days, the District has been granted a variance that permits watering of its common areas and right-of-ways any day of the week.

Please note that watering times are before 10 a.m. and after 7 p.m. on your designated watering days. For example, if your watering days are on Wednesdays and Saturdays, you may water from 12:01 a.m.– 10 a.m. and from 7 p.m. – 11:59 p.m. on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Any watering conducted outside of these times could result in a fine assessed to your utility bill.
