Architectural Control
All sections of the MUD are subject to restrictive covenant documents which state exactly or in effect:
No building, structure, fence, wall or other improvement
shall be commenced, erected, constructed, placed or maintained upon any Lot, nor shall any
exterior addition to or change or alteration therein be made until a Development Plan shall have
been submitted in accordance herewith to and approved by the Architectural Control Committee.
The Architectural Committee consists of homeowners in the District who have volunteered their time and efforts
to participate in this process which helps to ensure the property values and quality of life in Block House Creek.
Turnaround times for submissions to the Architectural Committee vary, but you should plan on approximately 30
days for your plan to be considered and a decision made. It is critical that you do not begin any construction or make any financial
commitments associated with construction until you have received approval of your plans.
You can help speed up the process by ensuring that your application for approval is complete and legible. Plan drawings do not have to be
of engineering quality, but need to clearly show all dimensions and placement on your lot, and should include all building lines and utility easements. The
plat map that you received when you purchased your home is the best way to convey information in plan view.
Please complete this Architectural Committee Request for Approval Form and submit it according to the information on the form.
If you have any questions about the architectural process, please
send it to us and we'll get an answer for you.
